
COURSE DESCRIPTION
Urban Kombat defence systems take’s a uniquely different approach to self-defence and conflict management. Through research supported by common sense principles that have been pressure tested in the real world, Urban Kombat places the skills and knowledge firmly in your hands.
This unique system has been designed to follow a systematic process which you can learn and retain in a short space of time. UKDS has been created to train you in effective skills so you can defend yourself and provide heightened confidence in dealing with violent confrontations.
The self-defence training courses have been designed for anyone that needs to increase their confidence and survivability on the streets, without impeding on the demands of daily life. Courses can be delivered as a short 3 hr course or over several days/weeks depending on which course is right for you. We can also bespoke a course for you or your group.
WHO SHOULD ATTEND?
Anyone 16 years old and over, who feels they need the confidence, empowerment, practical concepts and functional skills that our self-defence courses provide; to deal with and manage conflict or physical situations on the streets and at work.
AIM AND PURPOSE
To recognise various aspects of street defence and to understand different conflict management and self-defence methods, concepts, and tactics. To effectively manage and resolve conflict situations as fast as possible.
AT THE END OF THESE COURSES LEARNERS WILL BE ABLE TO:
Learn how to carry out dynamic threat assessment and identify the quickest possible escape route to minimize confrontation.
Learn to effectively assess threats and reduce risk during conflict and state the legal implications within conflict situations.
Understand the legal implications of their actions. State how the mind and body reacts in conflict situations.
Apply the correct and safest physical concepts to defend against strikes, grabs, holds or sexual assaults.
Apply the correct and safest physical concepts to defend yourself during a force continuum attacks such as impact or edged weapons.
